Nebraska Sends Out a Handful of New Offers

Nebraska’s coaching staff may partially be on vacation but that hasn’t stopped the new scholarship offers from going out. Nebraska’s staff has been active recently, particularly with offers to west coast prospects.

2019 OLB Spencer Lytle‍ from California has over 30 offers currently, including multiple offers from the Ivy League. The defender figures to be one of the best linebackers out west for 2019.

2019 defensive lineman Stephon Wright ‍from Los Angeles hails from the same high school (Cathedral) as former Husker commit Jamire Calvin. Nebraska's staff hopes for a different ending with Wright who could be an interior lineman or an end in college. He is friends with WR Andre Hunt who the Huskers just signed this month.

Another California target to keep an eye on is 2019 WR Drake London‍. The Moorpark High School standout has great size (6-4-200) and great hands. He currently only holds a handful of offers, so Nebraska may have done well to get ahead of the crowd on his recruitment.

Offensive tackle will continue to be a hot topic in Husker recruiting for the 2019 cycle. Nebraska will look to junior colleges and high schools to fill the void. One guy you can’t miss is Garden City CC OT Bamidele Olaseni‍ (6-8, 320). He hasn’t been playing football very long but has great athleticism to go along with his massive frame.

Another offer out west went to 2019 CB Kyu Kelly‍ from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. The same school that Tyjon Lindsey came from is home to a really solid CB prospect who has great technique for his age.

With an eye towards the future that will be here before we know it, Nebraska offered 2020 WR Rashawn Williams‍ from Detroit, Michigan. Williams was in town on Tuesday as part of a group checking out colleges in the region. He already holds Michigan and Ohio State offers.
