Nebraska coach Scott Frost updated the status of two scholarship players not on the Huskers' 110-man fall camp roster after Friday's fall camp practice.

Frost confirmed that sophomore outside linebacker Quayshon Alexander is out for the season with an injury and will not be available for Nebraska in 2018.

"We're not going to have his this year as he's rehabbing," Frost said.

As for senior outside linebacker Sedrick King, Frost said he is currently dealing with "personal things" and is unsure if King will return to the program or not.

"We're trying to be there for him" Frost said. "He had to go back to Florida to handle a situation and I expect him to be back in Lincoln at some point and make a decision if he'll need to spend his time on that or his time with the football team."

King was a productive part of Nebraska's defense in 2017, appearing in seven games as a junior. He recorded 14 tackles, which included his first two career tackles for loss. All 14 of his 2017 tackles came during Big Ten play.

Despite coming to Nebraska as the top defensive prospects on the East Coast in the 2016 recruiting class, Alexander has yet to see game action due to injuries.
