Nebraska's Spring Game Tickets Go on Sale Soon

It’s time to start thinking about football again. That is, if some in Nebraska actually stopped.

Beginning on Feb. 5, fans can purchase tickets to the Huskers’ 2019 Red-White spring game in April. Seats for season ticket holders go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. while tickets for the general public go on sale the following day, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m.

After Scott Frost’s debut on the sidelines of Tom Osborne Field in 2018 drew criticism over the way ticket sales were handled, Nebraska has announced some changes to the purchasing process this time around.

The 2018 spring game, and consequently the first chance to see Frost run out of the tunnel in Nebraska gear, sold out in less than 24 hours. Nebraska drew a program record 86,818 fans, also the most across college football last season.

But season ticket holders were allowed to purchase a max order of 20 tickets at $10 dollars a piece and a large number of those found there way onto ticket resale sites like StubHub with price markups to upwards of $699. The 5,000 ticket allotment for the general public was used up quickly and many fans were left without affordable access to the game.

This year, season ticket holders will only be allowed to purchase a max of 10 tickets. The 5,000 ticket allotment for the general public has also been increased to 15,000

Husker fans can purchase tickets online at Huskers.com, by phone at 1-800-8-BIG RED or in person at the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office, located in the Stadium Drive Parking Garage (8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays).

A limited number of $20 club seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Children, eighth grade or younger, get in for free but must have a complimentary ticket. University students get in for free as well, with faculty and staff eligible for a $5 ticket with their school ID.

The Spring Game is scheduled for April 13. A kick time has yet to be announced.
