Play of the Game: Brandon Reilly's 38-yard Touchdown Catch

December 31, 2016

Young players getting a head start on next season is one of the most common topics during bowl preparation, but the game itself is for seniors first and foremost. The Huskers didn't get the 10th win they were hoping for against Tennessee, but senior wide receiver Brandon Reilly capped his career with a terrific performance with four catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Trailing 14-0 late in the first half, the Huskers were in trouble of letting the game slip away. They needed a score. Senior tight end Cethan Carter got the Huskers off to a great start with a 33-yard catch from senor quarterback Ryker Fyfe then followed it up with a 9-yard run on the next play.
