Foster Brothers Grab the Mic in Latest Issue of Hail Varsity

January 9, 2017

We shipped the latest issue of Hail Varsity off to the printer early this morning, and that's good news for Husker fans because this issue features an interview unlike any other we've done to this point.

Eric Francis
Erin Sorensen sat down with Trey and Jerald Foster with the hopes of capturing the unique way brothers interact. She got that and whole lot more as Trey and Jerald traded quips back and forth, touching on a variety of topics from how they ended up at the positions they play (Jerald: "I was fat." | Trey: "I was slightly less fat") to which one was their parents' favorite (Jerald: "Probably me." | Trey: "I am easily my parents' favorite.").

Other highlights from the issue include:

>>Mike Babcock picks the best junior-college players ever to don the scarlet-and-cream for his All-JUCO Team feature and tells the powerful story of why former Husker Ricky Simmons says Tom Osborne saved his life.

>>Jacob Padilla recaps Nebraska basketball's hot start to Big Ten play and how the Huskers have turned things around in recent weeks.

>>Photographs from the Music City Bowl and the Huskers' double-overtime win over Iowa on the hardwood.

>>Brandon Vogel looks at some of the rankings trends for Nebraska now that the 2016 season is in the books and recaps the latest recruiting news, including what the Huskers' misses during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl mean going forward.

The latest issue of Hail Varsity, featuring a cover shot by Eric Francis, will hit newsstands and mailboxes latest this week. Not a subscriber? You can fix that right here.
