WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Nebraska kicks off against Purdue at 11 a.m. CT. In the run-up to the game, the Huskers have released their 74-man travel roster. We’ve got some quick notes on who’s in and who’s out.

>> Whereas last week we wondered who would draw the start at quarterback, this week sophomore Adrian Martinez is fully expected to be the guy.

"Adrian's our leader, he's our guy, so to get him back will give us a lift and guys will be psyched he's back," offensive coordinator Troy Walters said. "He's ready to go. Even when he was out he was engaged, he was focused, he was around the team.

"He's chomping at the bit to get back and show what kind of quarterback he is."

Martinez said the same earlier in the week.

Nebraska brought three other quarterbacks with the California native to Indiana: sophomore Noah Vedral, sophomore Andrew Bunch and redshirt freshman Matt Masker. True freshman Luke McCaffrey is not with the team after missing practice this week with an injury suffered against Indiana.

>> Sophomore defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt is not in Indiana with the team. Taylor-Britt also picked up an injury against Indiana. That means Nebraska will be down to just Marquel Dismuke and Eric Lee Jr. as the only scholarship safeties with meaningful playing time this season. Dismuke missed a court date earlier in the week, triggering a bench warrant, so it remains to be seen what his role looks like Saturday, but Lee made the trip along with freshmen Myles Farmer and Noa Pola-Gates (who have both played in two games this year), and then walk-on safeties Reid Karel, Eli Sullivan and Isaiah Stalbird.

>> Guys who are on the travel roster this week but were not when Nebraska last went on the road (Minnesota): Zach Weinmaster, Casey Rogers, Garrett Snodgrass, Brant Banks, Ty Robinson and Pola-Gates. Wideout Jaron Woodyard and kicker Lane McCallum are two notables who traveled to Minnesota but did not make the trip to Indiana.

Snodgrass, an inside linebacker, is making his first trip of the season. The York prospect has not appeared in a game yet this season. Neither Jackson Hannah or Nick Henrich, the other two 2019 inside 'backers, are on the trip.

Weinmaster is seemingly replacing senior walk-on running back Wyatt Mazour, who was spotted this week in a boot. Nebraska's running backs include (scholarship players bolded): Dedrick Mills, Rahmir Johnson, Brody Belt and Weinmaster. The room continues to thin.

>> Long-snapper Damian Jackson is sporting No. 46 against Purdue. He normally wears No. 38.

>> Purdue will be without its best player, wideout Rondale Moore, as well as a few others.
