Nebraska Recruiting Visit Primer: Jan. 13

With the recruiting dead period coming to an end on Wednesday, Jan. 11, Nebraska has set itself up with quite a few visits for the Jan. 13 weekend. To get you prepped for who will be in town, I’ve listed every player, along with other schools still in consideration and a few notes worth keeping in mind.

In addition, I’m keeping track of Husker targets on the road elsewhere this weekend and noted each below as well.

Kurt Rafdal | TE | Carmel (Carmel, Ind.)

Also considering: Iowa and LSU

Worth noting: Rafdal originally committed to Indiana on Oct. 13 but decommitted after the dismissal of head coach Kevin Wilson. The Huskers have been interested in Rafdal for a while, having offered the tight end on February 24, 2016. He visited on June 18.

Also considering: LSU (currently committed) and Alabama

Worth noting: John Parrella visited Shelvin and his family on Dec. 4.

Guy Thomas | DE | Booker T. Washington (Miami, Fla.)

Also considering: Maryland

Worth noting: Thomas committed to Nebraska back in August without visiting Nebraska. He’s stayed committed through the fall, despite keeping his recruitment open and taking an official visit to Maryland on Dec. 9. Parrella visited Thomas at home right before that on Nov. 29.

Jeremiah Hawkins | ATH | Buena Park (Buena Park, Calif.)

Also considering: Cal (currently committed)

Worth noting:
Has held an offer from Nebraska since June 24, 2015. Visited Nebraska for the spring game before committing to Cal on May 6, 2016.

In addition to those visiting Nebraska this weekend, plenty of the Huskers’ targets are on the road elsewhere. Here’s a quick look at where each of the prospects will be:

North Carolina

Arizona State

South Carolina

Oregon

Oklahoma

Central Michigan
