Nebraska has finalized the contract with recently hired offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Matt Lubick. The two-year contract is good for $500,000 annually.

The Huskers added Lubick to their staff in mid-January. The news came after the mutual decision to part ways with former offensive coordinator and receivers coach Troy Walters.

“Matt has an innovate offensive mind, provides a veteran presence on our staff and brings a proven track record of success at the Power Five level,” Coach Scott Frost said in a statement following Lubick’s hiring. “Matt and I developed a great relationship working together previously, and I look forward to adding his expertise to our offensive staff.”

In addition to Lubick’s contract information, Nebraska also released the information on returning coaches Sean Beckton (tight ends), Erik Chinander (defensive coordinator), Zach Duval (strength and conditioning), Barrett Ruud (inside linebackers), Tony Tuioti (defensive line) and Mario Verduzco (quarterbacks). All signed a one-year contract extension, with their contracts now running through Dec. 31, 2021.

The news comes after previously released contract information for newly hired outside linebacker coach Mike Dawson, as well as the details on contract extensions for defensive backs coach Travis Fisher, running backs coach Ryan Held and offensive line coach Greg Austin. Fisher received a $125,000 raise, bumping his salary to $450,000 per year. Held’s salary moved from $300,000 a year to $400,000 and he added the title of “Recruiting Coordinator” to his running backs responsibilities. Austin added “run game coordinator” to his duties as well.
