Huskers Continue In-Home Visits Across the Country

January 28, 2017

We told you where the Nebraska coaches were for the first half of the week, but where did everyone end up for the latter? As the week played out, we got a better idea of who was going where and why. While Coach Mike Riley was focused on Nebraska’s current recruits, Donte Williams and John Parrella worked to seal the deal with key targets. Additionally, Danny Lansdorf and Mike Cavanaugh started to look ahead for the 2018 and 2019 classes.

And through it all, the caffeine competition continued.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

Defensive coordinator Bob Diaco hit the road this week, making a stop in Dallas, Texas with Parrella. It would make sense for both to check in on Huskers commit Deiontae Watts and target Damion Daniels.

As for Langsdorf, he spent his Wednesday in Arizona. He was reported to have visited 2018 quarterback prospect Tyler Shough.

Thursday, Jan. 26

When Diaco was hired, many noted his familiarity with the east coast and the benefits of that for the Huskers. Diaco showed that off a bit on Thursday, heading east to meet with recruits.

Remember how Cavanaugh was tasked with finding future talent? He was at it on Thursday in Georgia.

While visiting Houston County, he made an offer to 4-star and 2018 offensive line target Trey Hill. Hill shared the news on Twitter.

Cavanaugh also took some time to visit Atlanta Falcons running back Terron Ward and offensive lineman Andy Levitre while in Georgia.

Langsdorf made his way to Houston, Texas from Arizona to visit with 2019 quarterback prospect Grant Gunnell. Gunnell is teammates with wide receiver Bryson Jackson at St. Pius X, who just received an offer for Nebraska’s 2018 recruiting class.

The coaches have until 11:59 pm on Sunday, Jan. 29 to make visits. Until then, visit information will likely roll in so stay tuned. We’ll have all the updates as we have them.
