Nebraska volleyball standouts Amber Rolfzen and Kadie Rolfzen may have graduated but their volleyball careers are just beginning. Both have signed professional contracts with Dresdner Sportclub 1898 in Germany’s Bundesliga. The Huskers shared the news via a release Thursday morning.
Dresdner SC is 11 matches into its current seasons, holding a 9-2 record. The team has won three straight Bundesliga titles, as well as the German Cup in 2016. Former Husker Gina Mancuso was a part of the Dresdner SC team in 2015-16 and also just completed a one-month provisional contract with the team after it was hit with a series of injuries.
Amber and Kadie bring an impressive resume to Dresdner SC that includes n NCAA Championship in 2015 and a Big Ten Championship in 2016. Both have earned AVCA All-America honor, as well as several other Big Ten and NCAA awards.
The Rolfzen twins will be in the Dresdner SC squad for the first time on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
