The latest issue of Hail Varsity ships this week. Below you’ll find the cover that will be arriving in mailboxes and on newsstands soon, as well as a look inside the magazine. Not a subscriber? Remedy that right here.
Nebraska volleyball’s Briana Holman came to Nebraska after departing LSU at the end of her sophomore year. She had plenty of options before selecting Nebraska as her place to call home. Why did she choose the Huskers? Managing editor Brandon Vogel tells Holman’s story on her decision and her future in a cover feature that you don’t want to miss.
Other highlights from this issue include:
>> Design director Quentin Lueninghoener created a must-see graphic to accompany editor Mike Babcock’s piece on the Huskers’ 350th consecutive sellout. We’d completely understand if you bought an extra copy of the magazine just to get that feature framed and hung on your wall.
>> A Q&A with linebacker Luke Gifford by staff writer Jacob Padilla. You’ll find out his favorite moments a Husker, as well as whether or not he misses playing on offense.
>> What does the Deiontae Watts commitment mean for Nebraska? Contributing writer Jake Jensen breaks it down.
>> Online editor Erin Sorensen spoke with a couple that’s a little divided on who to cheer for between Nebraska and Oregon. He’s a Duck, she’s a Husker and the whole thing works in Hail to the Fan.
>> Incredible photos, as always, from the talented Aaron Babcock, Eric Francis and Bill Frakes.
And much, much more. If you’re not a subscriber, you can become one right now.
Erin is the Deputy Editor and Digital Marketing Strategist for Hail Varsity. She has covered Nebraska athletics since 2012, which has included stops at Bleacher Report, Cox Media Group’s Land of 10, and even Hail Varsity (previously from 2012-2017). She has also been featured on the Big Ten Network, NET’s Big Red Wrap-Up, and a varsity of radio shows nationwide. When not covering the Huskers, Erin is probably at Chipotle.
