More postseason honors rolled in for the Nebraska volleyball team on Tuesday.
Middle blocker Lauren Stivrins, setter Nicklin Hames and outside hitters Lexi Sun and Madi Kubik were selected for the AVCA All-North Region Team. Their selection makes them eligible for All-American honors, which will be announced on April 2.

Stivrins and Sun were named to the all-region team for the third time while Hames and Kubik were selected for the second time.
Stivrins, Sun and Hames were all named to the All-Big Ten First Team last week.
Kubik was the AVCA North Region Team Freshman of the Year last season. This year, she averaged 2.70 kills and 2.52 digs per set and served up 12 aces in 16 matches, helping guide the Huskers to a third-place finish in the Big Ten and a 14-2 record. She cracked double figures in kills nine times and recorded six double-doubles. Two of those double-doubles came against Nebraska’s toughest opponent, Minnesota, as she totaled 25 kills on .294 hitting and 25 digs in seven sets.
“Madi’s improved in some areas and I challenged her on some things, but I think she’s been a really solid, consistent player for us,” Coach John Cook said. “She played a position that requires that; she’s in all six passing rotations and most teams don’t serve her, so that’s a great sign of respect right there. I think she works hard every day. She’s somebody I have to chase out of the gym every day; she wants to stay in there extra. I really like her approach to things and her willingness to get better.”
The Huskers will begin the postseason on Thursday against the winner of Texas State and Utah Valley.
