Husker fans will have to wait bit a little longer to see the No. 5 Nebraska volleyball team make its debut. In accordance with COVID-19 protocols, Tulsa has pulled out of the upcoming Husker Invitational at the Devaney Sports Center.
Nebraska’s regular season opener against Tulsa, previously scheduled for 11 a.m., has been canceled. The Huskers will now open the season on Friday night at 6 against Colgate. Nebraska will wrap up the Invitational on Saturday at 4 pm. against Kansas State.
Colgate will open the tournament against Kansas State on Friday at 11 a.m. and fans will receive free admission for the match. Nebraska will refund ticket holders for admissions and parking for the canceled match, though not until after he completion of the season as refunds will include any other canceled matches moving forward.
In accordance with the Lincoln-Lancaster County directed health measure, Nebraska will require face masks for fans and workers at the Devaney Center through at least Sept. 30. Nebraska encourages fans to bring their own masks as a limited number of masks will be available at the doors.
Friday’s match against Colgate will be streamed on Big Ten Network+ while Big Ten Network will televise Saturday’s against the Wildcats.
