“I was bored this weekend.”
That’s what Coach John Cook said about this past weekend following Nebraska’s postponed matches against No. 1 Wisconsin. The Huskers tried to find another opponent for the weekend, but the logistics between flying and housing the team on such short notice didn’t make it possible.
“I think the team was pretty disappointed,” Cook said. “You get all ramped up and then you don’t get to play but I think they’re also use to it and it didn’t surprise them.”
Cook also shared that the words he uses to relay negative information to the team are “Huskers Code Red.” The Wisconsin-weekend postponement certainly fit that description.
