Nebraska coach John Cook addressed the media Monday morning after Saturday's win over No. 15 Michigan.
Cook revisited the Huskers' first set versus Michigan, which Nebraska dropped 25-15. From there, Nebraska rallied to take down the Wolverines, 3-1. He felt Nebraska came out a little flat after a late night of travel and that "Michigan came out playing really well." He said Michigan needed to come down a bit and Nebraska needed to raise its playing level, which both happened after the first set.
As Nebraska prepares for the last two weeks of the regular season, Cook said he offered the team a day off.
"They wanted to train," Cook said.
He said the captains led that decision, and its a testament to where the team is now. And while there may not be a day off, Cook does plan to have a movie night.
"No one's seen Top Gun," Cook said.
Nebraska has another big travel weekend ahead, with Purdue on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. CT and Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. CT.
