The No. 7 seed Nebraska volleyball team took to the court Thursday afternoon ahead of the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Huskers had an hour and a half on the court at the Devaney Center for the open practice as the team prepares for Friday’s matchup with Hofstra.
Coach John Cook is relying on his seniors to help the younger players prepare for the tournament.
“He just kind of asked us to prepare them since some of them haven’t been through it before and we just told them you have to take it one game at a time and just because it’s the NCAA Tournament doesn’t mean its any different from any of the games we have ever played,” senior libero Kenzie Maloney said. “Just keep yourself level-headed and prepare for any team; don’t look too far ahead.”
The Huskers also feel they are playing with “heart” heading into the weekend.
