Pinnacle Bank Arena played host to the boys and girls NSAA State Basketball Championships this month and several future Huskers (committed for various sports) competed with their teams.
Lincoln Pius X senior Alexis Markowski and Humphrey St. Francis senior Allison Weidner (both basketball commits) won state titles with their teams, as did Beatrice sophomore Tucker Timmerman (a baseball commit). Other future Huskers include Elkhorn seniors Drew Christo and Kyler Randazzo (baseball), Omaha Creighton Prep senior AJ Rollins (football), Norris senior CJ Hood (baseball), Omaha Skutt senior Lindsay Krause (volleyball) and Millard West senior Evan Meyersick (a football preferred walk-on).
