Huskers Flip Wisconsin-Commit Keels

Let the new Big Ten West rivalry begin. Nebraska and Wisconsin are set up to have quite the yearly battle under the Big Ten's new divisional setup. It's not hard to foresee a future where that game plays a large part in deciding the West champion in most years and some Nebraska fans already have some ill-will built up for the Badgers thanks to two blowout losses in 2011 and 2012. Life in the Fast Lane

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- If you get the chance, ask defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski about fast cars, adrenaline and dudes in their mom's basements. After the ending the past two seasons woefully short on d-line depth, the Nebraska staff has made recruiting defensive tackles and ends a priority over the past month. The Huskers have already added two defensive line commits to the 2013 class in recent weeks, but Nebraska will take a shot at another one the weekend before signing day and he might be the best one yet. Petaluma, Calif. defensive tackle, and current Washington commit, Elijah Qualls will visit Lincoln the weekend ...

Practice Report – Day 10

Nebraska held its first of two Monday practices early this morning. Here's what we know now: --Defensive coordinator John Papuchis had some praise for how his four freshman defensive linemen performed in their first week of camp. "They compete even though they're young and they're learning," he said. "The ends are very athletic, both Avery (Moss) and Greg (McMullen), and the inside guys are big, physical guys. Vincent Valentine is a big man in there and he moves his feet really well. ...
